WEAVING
BEGINNING FOUR HARNESS WEAVING
Prepare a warp, dress the loom and explore a variety of 4 harness weaves. All materials and loom will be provided for class and home use.

SCOTTISH TARTAN
Learn the history, lore and most important how to weave a tartan. Each student will weave a scarf. Call ahead to inform us of you color choices.

DOUBLE WEAVE
Hands-on-loom work will allow the students the discovery of a variety of weave structures.

COLOR WEAVE
If you have trouble knowing how a color will work with others, this class is for you. Students will start with a pre-warped loom in a spectrum of color. You will learn how a color interacts with itself and others in plain and patterned weaves.

WARPING WITH CONFIDENCE
This class is a must for all weavers. Warping on a floor or table loom, without help, will be demonstrated. Students will wind, beam, thread, sley and tie on a warp. New or experience weavers will benefit from this class.

WOVEN RAG RUG TECHNIQUES
Learn how to weave a rag rug and make a small one in class.

CHILDREN'S WEAVING
Children seem to find a very natural way to express themselves. In this class, they will learn to set up a loom and weave a design. Students will have a frame loom and yarn to use in class and take home.

OVERSHOT
This mystery of overshot is solved in class. This is a beautiful and complicated design made simple. Learn all the secrets of this weave on a pre-warped loom. Includes all materials for making a colonial overshot table runner.

SPINNING
SPINNING ON A DROP SPINDLE
Experience the ancient art of spinning.

BEGINNING SPINNING
Learn how to choose a fleece, spin on a drop spindle and spinning wheel, ply, skein and set the yarn. Carders, spindles, wheels and fleece will be supplied for class and home use.

WOOL COMBING
This class covers history, selecting fibers, washing, blending, using a diz and hands on use of combs.

In this session, increase your spinning confidence with problem solving, color blending, plying, and reviewing the proper care of maintaining the spinning wheel.

History and how-to in this session will be covered. Learn how to prepare, and spin flax. Bring you wheel or use one of ours.

KNITTING
BEGINNING KNITTING
Every 2nd Saturday of the month from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, this class will cover the basic knitting skills, while making a small project.

SOCKS 101
A class designed for knitters who have never made a pair of socks and want to learn the basic techniques while making a 'starter' sock on double-pointed needles using worsted wool. A workbook is included. Some experience necessary.

TATTING MADE EASY
History and techniques will be covered while students learn to
make a lace ribbon for an edging.

VARIGATED DYEING
Create beautiful colors of variegated yarn. Instructions will be given on how to use natural dyes and mordants. Lots of printed material and information is supplied, as well as dyed yarn to take home.
